About

A lot of people have been asking me about the inspiration for this line of shirts… That’s a lie of course. In reality, only two asked. If you’re curious too, you’re lucky number three!

Certain monkeys have been studied and, when given the choice between life-sustaining water and a mere glimpse at a picture of a female monkey’s business, they invariably ignore the water. Our cousins, right?

Women are the primary subject of my paintings. I’m a slow painter and oils take a long time. I spend hours visualizing. The chambers of my heart are crowded with visions of imaginary naked women. With limited space and time for painting, it recently occurred to me that I can draw and produce t-shirts while paint dries.

You’ve likely heard that there are more paintings depicting naked women than of anything else. Isn’t that great? I love that. When I see a something like a three-hundred-year-old painting of a topless woman, or a smutty pulp book cover from the ‘70s, something resonates down to my core. Like the profound connection most of us feel to the cave paintings of ancient man — that deep feeling of humanity. I know that if I had a time machine, that artist and I could easily share a laugh over some egg rolls. We’re simpatico, birds of a feather, you know what I mean. I know where their mind has been and it wasn’t on landscapes.

After settling on my designs, then redrawing them a few more times, then settling again, for real-real this time, I roped in low-profile screen printing master Travis Shinn to printing the shirts with me. Because we are only two and because each shirt is printed by hand, the number of shirts is limited to under ten per size, per design.

The quality of the raw shirts needed to match the caliber of my designs, so I found the best t-shirts on the market: Bella + Canvas. The feel of their heathered texture alone could easily win the title of your “favorite shirt.” Combined with my designs, each shirt is a unique collectable of superior quality.

I want to connect with the like-minded through naughty pictures. I produced shirts, not prints, because they’re made to be seen, to be worn proudly by the brave. If you connect with these designs, if you know where my mind has been, perhaps we, too, are birds of a feather. At the very least, we’re certainly cousins of those sex pest monkeys.
